EXERCISE 1
1. The change from a classical paternalistic to a modern participatory
    patient-doctor relationship has significantly altered the pattern of medical
    practice and will continue to change as we move into the 21st century.
    Briefly describe the factors which influence these changes.

2. Gastroenterologists share common ethical principles with and encounter
    problems similar to those faced by other physicians. As a result they
    apply general medical ethical principles to specific areas of their activities.
